Vanessa Makes the Grade in High School Musical 3

                                                               

Will she be promoted or left back? That is the burning question High School Musical fans have been stressing about Vanessa Hudgens—Gabriella Montez in the popular Disney Channel vehicle.

Well, report cards are in and Vanessa’s grades—and fan base are excellent! Hudgens has inked a deal to return for High School Musical 3 with a substantial increase! “Vanessa is locked for the movie,” a “HSM3” source told US Magazine recently. “She is very happy that the deal is done.”

Hudgens’ return to the popular Disney Channel movie series was put into question after photos of the actress in various compromising states appeared earlier this fall on the internet.

“I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust mean the world to me. I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends,” Hudgens said in a statement at the time.

                                                              

Despite the scandal, Disney quickly told the Associated Press that Hudgens was still being sought for “HSM3.”

“Vanessa has apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment,” a Disney Channel spokeswoman  said. “We hope she’s learned a valuable lesson.” Shooting on the next installment of “High School Musical” is expected to begin in January.
